| The Visual Paging system is used in the
offices or workplace where an Public Address system is not appropriate. Audible messages
are too intrusive in the workplace or cannot be heard in the workshop or yard. A three
digit number is assigned to each person (usually the last tree numbers of their extension
number)
The Operator keys in the number, on the control unit, when that person cannot be
contacted at their desk. By phone.
The Paging Display is placed in convenient locations throughout the complex. The
display of the number is preceded by an announcement tone. The number is displayed for 30
seconds. Should a second page be initiated while the first on is still being displayed,
the numbers rotate until the first number times out.
The person being paged then uses a nearby extension to call the operator and connect to
the caller or receive a message. |
